PRE-PARAMEDIC PREPARATION (64-HOUR) COURSE
First Lady Permanente Education Center offers a 8-week Paramedic Preparation course, a total of 64-hours total. The pre-paramedic preparation course runs a total of eight (8) consecutive weeks a total of 16 days. Each week is scheduled 2 days per week from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m located at our Turlock campus. This course is only didactic/ labs and does not include clinical experience. This course is a preparation course for the paramedic program. The course is an interactive course, structured to prepare students for an intensive Paramedic Program. The class meets twice a week, 4 hours per session, for a total of 8-weeks. Students will be evaluated in the Didactic, Psychomotor and Affective Domains. The course reviews the fundamentals of Paramedic Programs in a fast paced intensive format that covers the following components: Anatomy/ Pathophysiology, Basic EKG/ Treatment Plans, Pharmacology and Medication Dosages, Medical Emergencies, Patient Assessment, Traumatic Emergencies, Trauma Assessment, Medical Terminology and Written Examinations.
Paramedic Prep Course Schedule: WINTER SCHEDULE 2025 (OPEN) *Online zoom meeting: By Appointment Only Thursdays at 9:00am - 1:00pm Live Lecture Turlock Campus Fridays at 9:00am - 1:00pm Lab Session Turlock Campus Week 1: January 9, 10 Week 2: January 16, 17 Week 3: January 23, 24 Week 4: January 30, 31 Week 5: February 6, 7 Week 6: February 13, 14 Week 7: February 20, 21 Week 8: February 27, 28 A total of (16) days for the entire paramedic preparation course. Attendance is mandatory for all (16) days. If you miss more than (1) class day you will not receive a certificate of completion, experience only.
Course Cost Breakdown: $750.00 Course Deposit $500.00 Remainder Course Balance =$1,250.00 Total Cost, Estimated Charges and Additional Fees The $750.00 course deposit is non-refundable non-transferable and is required to secure a spot in the course.

Course Completion Certificate: This course is a preparation requirement for the paramedic program, continuing education units are provided.

Refund/Cancellation Policy: Note- The enrollment fee of $250.00 is non-refundable and non-transferable. Do not submit payment if you are not sure you want to take this program. An initial enrollment payment that is more than the $250.00 will be charged a 4% processing fee of the net amount being refunded to payment used. Questions email [email protected].
Textbook Restocking Fee: Textbooks that have been purchased may be returnable (only in new condition) and must be returned to the admissions office no later than 5 days after the program start date. A 30% restocking/processing fee will be applied and deducted from the net amount being refunded to payment used.
Accreditation: This is a preparation course for the paramedic program, for a total of (64) hours. Accreditation is a continuing education course and not a certificate program. Students completing the course will receive (56) hours of Continuing Education and will have met the pre-requisite for the First Lady Permanente Paramedic Program. Paramedic program is pending approval.
